Occupational Therapist - Adults & Children with Disabilities

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the London Borough of Harrow, working within both adults' and children's services for individuals with physical disabilities and learning disabilities.

Role Overview

You will act as the allocated Occupational Therapist responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred support to service users with physical and learning disabilities. The role involves promoting independence through preventative interventions and ensuring safe, effective care planning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking holistic assessments for adults and children with disabilities
  • Developing, reviewing, and monitoring individual care plans
  • Providing advice and intervention in relation to adaptations, equipment, and assistive technology
  • Completing moving and handling assessments and recommendations
  • Promoting independence, wellbeing, and safeguarding principles
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies

Requirements

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working within physical disabilities and/or learning disabilities
  • Strong assessment, care planning, and risk management skills
  • Knowledge of equipment, adaptations, and moving and handling
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
