We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Older People & Physical Disabilities Team in Southwark. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals. The position offers a competitive rate of £32 per hour on an Umbrella basis, providing flexibility and competitive compensation in a supportive environment.

As a Qualified Social Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs of older adults and individuals with physical disabilities, developing tailored care plans.
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for service users.
  • Conducting regular reviews of care plans and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with local policies and procedures.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior staff and students, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • Participating in safeguarding assessments and interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A valid Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience working with older adults and individuals with physical disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to develop effective care plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to advocacy and empowerment.
