Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of kinship care placements to determine suitability and support needs.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
- Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship carers, ensuring they have the resources needed to care for children effectively.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of best practices in kinship care.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Experience in child protection and family support, particularly in kinship care settings.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with families and professionals.
