We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fostering Social Worker to join our Kinship Assessment Team in Liverpool. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families, working on a temporary basis with a competitive rate of £40 per hour. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and ensuring that children in kinship care receive the support they need to thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough kinship assessments in line with statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborating with families, children, and other professionals to gather relevant information and insights.
  • Preparing detailed reports and recommendations to inform decision-making processes.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship carers throughout the assessment process.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, or equivalent).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in fostering or child protection social work.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
