Are you an experienced Children's Social Worker looking to take the next step in your career? Lincolnshire County Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practitioner to join their Locality Team on an ongoing agency basis.

About the Role

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting frontline social work practice, managing complex cases, and promoting high standards of service delivery. You will work closely with social workers, team managers, children, and families to ensure effective safeguarding and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex caseload involving children and families requiring statutory intervention.
  • Provide professional leadership, guidance, and support to less experienced social workers.
  • Undertake high-quality assessments, care planning, and risk management.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and child protection processes, ensuring best practice is maintained.
  • Support the development of team practice through mentoring, coaching, and reflective supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver effective interventions and positive outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and attend court proceedings where required.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
