We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and identifying risks to children and families.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing child protection plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to inter-agency collaboration.

The successful candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
