We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Duty and Advice/Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Oldham. This pivotal role requires a passionate individual who is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families within our community. You will be responsible for assessing the needs of children and families, providing timely advice and support, and collaborating with a range of agencies to ensure the best outcomes for those in need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in line with statutory requirements.
  • Providing advice and support to families and professionals, ensuring effective communication and information sharing.
  • Working collaboratively with partner agencies to develop and implement safeguarding plans.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with local and national policies.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW).
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, particularly within a MASH or Duty and Advice setting.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working in partnership with families and agencies.
