Dudley - Social Worker - MASH Team
Dudley Metropolitan Brough Council is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to Join their MASH Team.
Location: Council House, Priory Road
Pay Rate: £38.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen and assess safeguarding referrals to identify levels of risk and determine appropriate thresholds for intervention.
- Gather, analyse, and share information with partner agencies to support timely and informed decision-making.
- Undertake risk assessments and make recommendations in line with statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures.
- Work collaboratively with police, health, education, and other multi-agency partners to safeguard children and young people.
- Provide advice and guidance on safeguarding concerns, thresholds, and appropriate service pathways.
- Make timely decisions regarding referrals, including progression to statutory assessments, Early Help, or targeted services.
- Maintain accurate, high-quality case records, assessments, and reports in line with legislative and organisational requirements.
- Identify and respond promptly to safeguarding concerns, ensuring children at risk receive appropriate protection.
- Promote the child's voice and ensure their welfare and best interests remain central to all decision-making.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of safeguarding practice through effective partnership working and quality-focused decision-making.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
