Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join Reading Borough Council's Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced Social Work Manager to lead a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality practice, effective safeguarding, and positive outcomes for children and young people with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide professional leadership to a team of Social Workers within the Children with Disabilities service.
  • Provide regular supervision, guidance, and support to ensure high standards of social work practice.
  • Oversee complex assessments, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding activity in line with statutory requirements.
  • Promote child-centred, strengths-based practice while ensuring positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, families, and professionals to deliver effective support.
  • Monitor performance, drive service improvements, and ensure compliance with local and national policies.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience working within Children's Social Care.
  • Previous Team Manager experience within a Children with Disabilities service is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures, statutory frameworks, and social work practice standards.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
