Location: Leicestershire (Hybrid - office-based presence required in Coalville 2-3 days per week)
Rate: Up to £45 per hour

About the Service
Leicestershire's Disabled Children's Service consists of two well-established social work teams led by an experienced and supportive Service Manager. The service is trauma-informed and committed to improving how families experience support, ensuring services are accessible, inclusive, and effective.

About the Role
As Team Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight to a team of social workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children with disabilities and their families.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a team of social workers within the Disabled Children's Service
- Driving performance through audit, data, and reflective supervision
- Ensuring timely, high-quality interventions and safeguarding practice
- Supporting staff development, learning, and continuous professional development (CPD)
- Working closely with senior leadership and contributing to wider management meetings
- Embedding Signs of Safety and relationship-based practice approaches
- Supporting service development as part of an evolving and forward-thinking team
You will play a key role in shaping how services are delivered, ensuring families receive the right support at the right time, while maintaining a strong focus on the voice of the child.
About You
- Experienced Team Manager within Children's Services
- Strong understanding of disability, safeguarding, and SEND (including EHCP processes)
- Confident leader with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop staff
- Skilled in performance management, audit, and quality assurance
- Passionate about relationship-based and trauma-informed practice
- Knowledge or experience of Signs of Safety is desirable
- Committed to continuous improvement, learning, and evidence-based practice

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
