CAFCASS are currently recruiting experienced Family Court Advisers (FCA) to join their Public & Private Law teams. This is a rolling advert, meaning applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis until all vacancies are filled.
Locations covered:
Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead, Bracknell Forest, Oxford, Reading, West Berkshire, Wokingham, Wiltshire & Swindon
About the Role
As a Family Court Adviser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best outcomes for children involved in family court proceedings. You will work across Public and/or Private Law, providing high-quality assessments and clear, evidence-based recommendations to the courts.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload within Public and/or Private Law
- Completing Section 7 and Section 37 reports
- Undertaking safeguarding checks and risk assessments
- Representing CAFCASS in court proceedings
- Working directly with children and families, ensuring the child's voice is central
- Liaising with multi-agency professionals to inform decision-making

Essential Requirements
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
