An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care Court Team at Northamptonshire Children's Trust.

This is a specialist court-based role offering £38 per hour Umbrella for social workers with strong public law experience.

The Role

You will manage a caseload of children subject to court proceedings, ensuring high-quality assessments and evidence to achieve the best outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex court proceedings
  • Completing Parenting Assessments
  • Undertaking Risk Assessments and Viability Assessments
  • Preparing court statements, including final evidence and care plans
  • Working closely with legal teams and partner agencies throughout proceedings

Essential Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Recent UK Local Authority experience within Children's Services
  • Substantial and recent court experience is essential
  • Proven experience completing parenting, risk and viability assessments
  • Experience preparing statements, final evidence and care plans for court
