An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Care Court Team at Northamptonshire Children's Trust.
This is a specialist court-based role offering £38 per hour Umbrella for social workers with strong public law experience.
The Role
You will manage a caseload of children subject to court proceedings, ensuring high-quality assessments and evidence to achieve the best outcomes for children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex court proceedings
- Completing Parenting Assessments
- Undertaking Risk Assessments and Viability Assessments
- Preparing court statements, including final evidence and care plans
- Working closely with legal teams and partner agencies throughout proceedings
Essential Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Recent UK Local Authority experience within Children's Services
- Substantial and recent court experience is essential
- Proven experience completing parenting, risk and viability assessments
- Experience preparing statements, final evidence and care plans for court
Please note: This is not a generic Children in Care role. Applications from candidates without direct and recent court work experience will not be considered.
