Social Worker - Family Safeguarding (Court/Child Protection)

Pay: £36 per hour (Umbrella)
Bury Council is looking for a skilled Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Family Safeguarding team, working with children and families involved in court proceedings and child protection cases. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in your local community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage statutory child protection and court cases, ensuring children's safety and wellbeing.
- Conduct assessments and develop effective care plans in partnership with families and professionals.
- Attend court hearings and prepare expert reports and recommendations.
- Work closely with multi-agency teams to safeguard children and support families.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legislation and Bury Council policies.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with experience in child protection and family safeguarding.
- Strong knowledge of statutory processes, safeguarding legislation, and best practice.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage complex cases effectively under pressure.
- Commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families in Bury.
