Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team at Halton Borough Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Children's Services team, supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families. You will provide high-quality statutory social work, undertake complex assessments, manage a varied caseload, and offer professional guidance and support to colleagues while promoting best practice across the team.

Working closely with partner agencies, you will play a key role in safeguarding children, delivering child-centred interventions, and ensuring positive outcomes for children with additional and complex needs.

Key Skills Required:

  • Previous experience within Children with Disabilities, Safeguarding or Children's Services
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
  • Experience undertaking statutory assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection and Children with Disabilities work
  • Ability to support, mentor and guide less experienced social workers while promoting high standards of practice
  • Excellent assessment, report writing and multi-agency working skills
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads and make informed decisions in line with statutory guidance
  • Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Previous experience within Children's Services, preferably within a Children with Disabilities Team
  • Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and disability-related social care practice
