Qualified Social Worker - Child in Need Team

Halton Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join its Child in Need Team on a hybrid working basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team, managing Child in Need cases and helping to achieve positive outcomes for children and families through effective assessment, planning, and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload of Child in Need cases
  • Undertaking assessments and developing care plans
  • Completing statutory visits and reviews
  • Working in partnership with children, families, and multi-agency professionals
  • Identifying and managing safeguarding risks
  • Maintaining accurate case recordings and reports

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Relevant experience within Children's Services
  • Strong knowledge of Child in Need processes and safeguarding legislation
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
