Children's SW - Duty & Assessment Team - Tameside
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Duty & Assessment Team in Tameside. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out assessments and providing support to children and families in need within the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting initial assessments and investigations to determine the needs of children at risk
- Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide holistic support
- Participating in case conferences and court proceedings as required
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis situations
The ideal candidate for this position will possess:
- A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Prior experience working within a children's social work setting, preferably within a duty and assessment team
- Strong assessment and analytical skills to make informed decisions regarding child protection
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and stakeholders effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload efficiently
