CAFCASS - Family Court Adviser (QSW) - Merseyside£37.75 p/h (Flexible Working)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CAFCASS - Family Court Adviser (QSW) to join our team in Merseyside. As a Family Court Adviser, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice to family courts on the welfare of children and representing their best interests in legal proceedings.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting in-depth assessments of children and families involved in court proceedings
- Developing recommendations and reports for the court based on your assessments
- Attending court hearings and presenting evidence on behalf of the children you represent
- Working collaboratively with social workers, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children
- Advocating for the rights and needs of children to ensure their voices are heard in court
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker (QSW) with current registration with Social Work England
- Experience working within the family court system and a strong understanding of child protection issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to make informed decisions in complex and challenging situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
