We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Portsmouth as a CAFCASS/Family Court Adviser. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting children and families involved in the family court system, ensuring their voices are heard and best interests are represented.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to provide recommendations to the family court
  • Attending court hearings and presenting evidence to support your recommendations
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, legal teams, and healthcare professionals
  • Advocating for the rights and welfare of children, ensuring their safety and well-being are the top priorities
  • Providing support and guidance to families throughout the court process

The essential qualifications and skills for this position include:

  • Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working within the family court system or with CAFCASS is highly desirable
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload

Additional requirements for this role may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, as travel within the Portsmouth area may be necessary.
