We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Team Manager (ATM) to join our Brambles Safeguarding Team in Wokingham. As an ATM, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Team Manager in overseeing a team of social workers and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Supervising and supporting a team of social workers in their casework, providing guidance and expertise in complex safeguarding cases.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures within the team.
  • Participating in case conferences, meetings, and court proceedings as required, representing the team and advocating for the best interests of children.
  • Assisting in the recruitment, training, and performance management of team members to ensure a cohesive and effective working environment.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a safeguarding team.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, service users, and partner agencies.
