We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Portsmouth. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting assessments and investigations to evaluate the needs and risks of children and families
- Developing and implementing care plans to support children in need of protection
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to safeguard children from harm
- Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings
- Providing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes for children
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding work
- Excellent assessment, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases
