We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Oldham as a Duty & Advice (MASH) practitioner. In this role, you will play a crucial part in safeguarding vulnerable children and adults by providing timely and effective intervention and support.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Responding to incoming referrals and conducting assessments to determine the level of risk and appropriate interventions
- Providing advice and guidance to colleagues, partner agencies, and the public on safeguarding concerns
- Contributing to multi-agency discussions and decision-making processes within the MASH team
- Completing comprehensive and accurate records of all interactions and interventions
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for service users
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a MASH or duty and advice setting
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to safeguarding
- Excellent assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of individuals
