Somerset - Advanced Practitioner - Adult Safeguarding

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practitioner in Adult Safeguarding to join our team in Somerset. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults in our community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting complex assessments of adults at risk of abuse or neglect
  • Developing and implementing safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to social workers and other professionals on safeguarding issues
  • Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and ensure appropriate interventions
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of safeguarding practices through training and policy development

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
  • Significant experience in adult safeguarding within a social work setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult safeguarding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with service users, families, and professionals
  • Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions, and manage complex cases effectively
