If you are an experienced Social Worker looking for your next opportunity, Middlesbrough are currently hiring across multiple Adult Social Care teams, offering varied and rewarding roles supporting adults with diverse needs.
Role 1: Qualified Social Worker - West Locality Team
Join the West Locality Team and work in a supportive, established service focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake strengths-based assessments under the Care Act 2014
- Deliver trauma-informed and person-centred practice
- Support adults with a wide range of needs including:
- Autism
- Physical disabilities
- Learning difficulties
- Acquired brain injuries
- Addiction and complex trauma
- Develop outcome-focused care and support plans
- Promote independence and wellbeing
Working Environment
- Hybrid working (home and Fountain Court office)
- Collaborative, experienced team
- Close partnership working with:
- South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust
- Accessing Change Together (ACT) Middlesbrough
Role 2: Qualified Social Worker - Adult Social Care
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a broad Adult Social Care service, supporting residents across Middlesbrough.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive, person-centred assessments
- Identify needs while considering the individual's circumstances and voice
- Develop care plans using:
- Community and informal support networks
- Statutory services where required
- Safeguard adults from abuse and neglect
- Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
What We're Looking For
Across both roles, candidates should:
- Have strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Be able to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines
- Be committed to multi-agency working
- Be proactive and innovative in practice
- Be able to meet travel requirements
- Be registered (or eligible) with Social Work England
