Job Title: Part-Time Social Worker (Adults)
Location: The Hub, Stockport Road, Hattersley, Hyde, SK14 6AF
Rate: £35 per hour
Hours: 22.5 hours per week

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Social Worker to join the Adults Services team at Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the local community. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support adults in need of social care, including completing Care Act assessments, reviews, and dealing with safeguarding concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support with covering the duty rota.
- Complete Care Act assessments, reviews, and Mental Capacity Act (MCA) / Best Interests (BI) assessments.
- Manage safeguarding cases, ensuring appropriate action is taken in line with local policies.
- Follow Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council (TMBC) policies and procedures.
- Undertake legal work related to Court of Protection (COP) and Section 21A applications.
Key Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification and HCPC Registration.
- Experience in completing Care Act assessments, safeguarding, and legal work related to COP/S21A.
- Ability to follow local authority policies and work in line with safeguarding procedures.
- Initially, the role will require the worker to be in the office for the first 6 weeks of the placement. After this, there may be the opportunity to work from home (WFH).
