Stoke on Trent City Council is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Principal Manager to join their MASH Team .

Location:- Steel House, ST1 5SZ

Pay rate :- £41.42 Per Hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Manage and develop the delivery of Children and Family Services within a defined area.
  • Organize, lead, and motivate teams while ensuring effective supervision.
  • Provide outstanding leadership and management across Children and Families Services.
  • Ensure high-quality, cost-effective services to meet the needs of children, young people, and their families.
  • Develop performance management systems to achieve performance targets and quality assurance.
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
  • Contribute to the management and operation of high-quality, cost-effective services.
  • Manage complex caseloads, ensuring comprehensive case management.
  • Focus on quality in practice, setting standards and ensuring the conditions for successful social work.
  • Motivate and nurture staff to maintain high standards.
  • Take responsibility for and be accountable for the practice of social workers.
  • Oversee and manage the duty function for the team.

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
