Stoke on Trent Council is looking for an experienced and dedicated Advance / Senior Practitioner their Court Team.

Location:- Civic Centre, ST4 1RN

Payrate:- £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Children and Family Services Pilot Program: A new initiative where Court Teams are being introduced to work directly with children and their families.
  • Focus on Children Entering Care: The program specifically targets children at the point of entering care, ensuring early intervention.
  • Managing Care Proceedings: Court Teams are responsible for holding and managing care proceedings, offering guidance and support throughout the process.
  • From Start to Final Hearing: The program involves managing cases from the initial stages all the way through to the final court hearing.
  • Permanency Planning: A key aspect of the program is developing and ensuring permanency plans for children, focusing on long-term stability and care solutions.
  • Rare Opportunity: This is a unique chance to be part of a pilot program that directly impacts the lives of children and families, offering hands-on experience and insight into complex court proceedings.

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
