Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker / Advanced Practitioner to join the Fostering Team (Carer Assessment Team) for Barnet Council.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Undertake viability assessments of family and friends for children requiring permanency.
* Complete full Special Guardianship (SGO) assessments and Connected Carer assessments.
* Prepare detailed and high-quality Court reports to support care planning and permanency decisions.
* Work directly with children and families, ensuring thorough and timely assessments.
* Contribute to achieving permanency outcomes through kinship and connected care arrangements.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements.
* Apply a strong understanding of fostering regulations, kinship care, and relevant legislation.

Working Pattern:
* Hybrid working

Pay Rate:
* Up to £39.04 p/h Umb

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years' experience in children's social care
* Extensive experience completing Kinship Assessments (Viability, SGO, Connected Carer assessments)
* Experience preparing Court reports
* Social Work England Registration
* Strong knowledge of fostering regulations and permanency planning
