Surrey County Council is seeking an experienced LAC Social Worker to join their team in the North East Surrey area.

Position: LAC Social Worker
Location: North East Surrey
Hours: Full-time
Pay: Up to £42 per hour (Umbrella)

Role Overview:
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children in care, providing high-quality assessments, safeguarding, and care planning to ensure positive outcomes for children. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and families to deliver services in line with statutory guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake statutory assessments and care planning for children in care
  • Monitor and review care plans, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice
  • Engage directly with children, families, and carers to safeguard and promote the welfare of the child
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency teams to provide a holistic approach to safeguarding and care
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Driving licence and access to own vehicle
