South Tyneside - AP - Assessment Team
EDEN BROWN SYENRGY is currently looking for an experienced & committed Advanced Practitioner for South Tyneside Council , offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a well-established Assessment Team.
Roles & Responsibilities (R&R):
- Lead complex assessments of children and families, ensuring timely and accurate decision-making.
- Provide expert advice and support to social workers and other professionals within the team.
- Supervise and mentor less experienced social workers, promoting best practice and professional development.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and support the implementation of local safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date case records, reports, and assessments in line with legal and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
- Participate in case conferences, strategy meetings, and court proceedings as required.
- Ensure all practice reflects current legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration.
- Driving license and access to own vehicle.
