We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join our team in Enfield on a flexible, umbrella contract basis at a competitive rate of £45.20 per hour. As an Independent Reviewing Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive reviews of care plans for children and young people in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring that the views and wishes of children, parents, and carers are incorporated into the review process.
  • Working collaboratively with social workers, other professionals, and agencies to promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed reports and recommendations to relevant panels.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans and interventions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in child protection, safeguarding, and care planning.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
