Redbridge Council seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join the HASS Fairlop Cluster, providing integrated community health and adult social care services. This locality-based role will require working across clusters, managing a varied caseload of approximately 4 cases per week, including both complex and standard OT assessments.

Hours: Full-time / Flexible
Rate: £41.58 per hour - Limited/Umbrella
Team: HASS Fairlop Cluster (work across clusters)

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake complex, holistic, person-centred occupational therapy assessments, support planning, and reviews for individuals with a range of health conditions and their carers.
  • Assess for and recommend specialist equipment and major adaptations, including preparing sketches, reading plans, and providing detailed specifications.
  • Teach safe use of equipment and ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and safe working practices.
  • Work autonomously, manage and prioritize a complex caseload, and contribute effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ensure all practice aligns with legal, social care, and housing frameworks.

Essential Requirements

  1. Excellent knowledge and experience in assessing and recommending major adaptations and complex equipment, including manual handling.
  2. Experience working in a multi-professional team, completing complex OT assessments and person-centred care planning.
  3. Understanding of the legal social care framework and housing legislation.
  4. Proven ability to manage, plan, prioritize, and progress complex cases.
  5. Experience assessing and recommending simple and complex equipment, reviewing effectiveness, and teaching safe usage.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Professional Occupational Therapy qualification recognized by the HCPC
  • Experience with specialist equipment, major adaptations, and manual handling
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary setting
