Role: Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) - Emergency Duty Team (EDT)
Location: Bury
Pay Rate: £40 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week (rolling 3-week rota, including EDT cover)
Contract: Ongoing rolling assignment

Overview

Bury Council is seeking an experienced AMHP to join their Emergency Duty Team on a rota basis. This is a fast-paced out-of-hours service providing statutory mental health assessments and urgent interventions.

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)
  • Current AMHP warrant (essential)
  • Experience working within crisis / emergency duty settings
  • Ability to work on a rolling rota including evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations

Rota

  • 37 hours per week on a rolling 3-week rota
  • Includes EDT cover
  • 1 weekend off in every 3
  • Full rota details discussed at interview stage
