We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our team in Bury on a temporary basis. This role offers a competitive rate of £40 per hour and presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges. As an AMHP, you will be part of a dynamic team, working collaboratively to ensure the safety and well-being of those in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and evaluations.
- Making informed decisions regarding the necessity of detention under the Mental Health Act.
- Providing support and guidance to service users, their families, and other professionals.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in mental health care.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Registered Social Worker, Nurse, or Occupational Therapist with AMHP qualification.
- Significant experience in mental health settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in mental health.
