Salford - CP Coordinator - Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit
Salford Council is currently looking for an experienced Child Protection Coordinator to join their Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit. The role involves chairing Child Protection Conferences, overseeing plans for children and young people, and ensuring statutory safeguarding functions are delivered effectively.
Location: Chorley Road, Swinton
Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Chair and coordinate Child Protection Conferences, ensuring effective decision-making and safeguarding outcomes
- Oversee the implementation and progress of child protection plans for children and young people
- Ensure all statutory child protection functions are delivered in line with safeguarding legislation and best practice
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of plans, identifying areas for improvement where needed
- Work closely with social workers, partner agencies, and families to support positive outcomes for children
- Contribute to service development and quality assurance, driving continuous improvement within the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit
- Promote an asset-based and restorative approach to practice, keeping children's lived experiences at the centre of all decisions
- Provide support across the wider Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit when required
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
