Senior social worker-Family Safeguarding-North Somerset
We are currently seeking an experienced Advance Social Worker to join a busy Family support & Safeguarding Team based in North Somerset. Working on child protection, CIN, child in care, right through to adoption and court cases. 37 hours a week, 3 month+ contracts 37 hours per week and an exceptional rate of between £40 for experienced workers. Good transport links off the M5. Hybrid working
As a Senior Social Worker, you will manage complex cases, provide professional leadership, and contribute to high-quality safeguarding practice within a supportive and ambitious team.
About the Role
You will work with children and families where there are safeguarding concerns, undertaking assessments, planning interventions, and ensuring that children receive the support and protection they need to thrive.
The suitable candidate will have experience of working with children and families and identifying potential child protection or dealing with on-going child protection issues. Also experience with court work will be desirable.
The work within the team is of a complex nature, either high end children in need, or child protection. Cases also progress to care proceedings where appropriate hence the need for knowledge around Court work and the statutory requirements for children who are looked after
Applicants need to be experienced in progressing child protection / CIN plans with specific measurable and timely interventions and be able to recognise when further intervention is required to protect the children within their case load and take the appropriate action to address this.
You will be SWE registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
