Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Risk Outside the Home Team for Lewisham Council.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage complex cases involving adolescents at risk of exploitation, serious youth violence, missing episodes, and other extra-familial safeguarding concerns.
* Complete robust assessments, risk assessments, and intervention plans to safeguard vulnerable young people.
* Work within a contextual safeguarding framework, addressing risks occurring outside the family home.
* Build effective partnerships with Police, Education, Health, Youth Justice, and other agencies to deliver coordinated interventions.
* Attend and contribute to strategy discussions, child protection conferences, court proceedings, and other statutory meetings.
* Provide mentoring, support, and practice guidance to Social Workers within the team where appropriate.
* Maintain accurate, timely case recordings and reports in accordance with statutory requirements and local procedures.

Working Pattern:

  • Hybrid working.
  • 3 days in the office at a minimal Thursdays is mandatory day in the office and 2 duty days


Pay Rate:
* £39.04 p/h Umb.

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years post-qualified experience within Childrens Social Care.
* Significant experience working with adolescents, contextual safeguarding, exploitation, serious youth violence, and Risk Outside the Home services.
* Social Work England Registration.
* Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding procedures.
