Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist

Location: North Northamptonshire - Thackley Green Specialist Care Centre
Rate: £39 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to join the team at Thackley Green Specialist Care Centre in North Northamptonshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Occupational Therapist with strong leadership skills and experience in rehabilitation and discharge planning.

The Role

As the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting patients through their rehabilitation journey, facilitating safe and timely discharges, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Occupational Therapy assessments and rehabilitation for patients admitted primarily from acute hospitals.
  • Carry out access visits to assess properties and recommend minor adaptations and specialist equipment.
  • Manage your own caseload while delegating appropriate tasks to Therapy Assistants.
  • Support referrals across the wider Discharge to Assess (D2A) pathway when required.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure effective discharge planning and positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with professional standards.

Essential Requirements

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
  • Significant experience in rehabilitation and discharge planning.
  • Strong clinical leadership and caseload management skills.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance is essential.
