Are you a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker seeking a rewarding opportunity in Leicestershire? We are currently looking for a Full-Time and Part-Time LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) to join our dynamic team. This role offers a competitive rate of £42 per hour (umbrella), providing you with the flexibility to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families in our community.

As a LADO, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing allegations against adults who work with children, ensuring thorough investigations are conducted in line with statutory guidance.
  • Providing advice and support to local agencies, including schools, voluntary organizations, and social care teams.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to promote safeguarding practices and ensure the welfare of children is prioritized.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of all cases and contributing to case reviews and audits.
  • Delivering training and awareness sessions to staff and stakeholders regarding safeguarding policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding, particularly in a LADO role or similar.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
