We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LADO Independent Reviewing Officer to join our team in Lincolnshire on a remote basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people within the local community. As a LADO Independent Reviewing Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing allegations made against individuals who work with children, ensuring that all processes are conducted fairly, thoroughly, and in accordance with statutory guidance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting independent reviews of allegations against individuals working with children.
  • Collaborating with local authorities, police, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on safeguarding practices to professionals.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
  • Preparing reports and presenting findings at meetings and panels.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in child protection, safeguarding, or related fields.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
