As a CP Chair, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Child Protection Conferences, ensuring they are conducted in a timely and effective manner.
  • Facilitating discussions among multi-agency professionals to develop comprehensive safety plans.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all meetings and decisions made.
  • Providing support and guidance to social workers and other professionals involved in child protection cases.
  • Monitoring and reviewing cases to ensure ongoing compliance with local and national standards.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Extensive experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
