Wokingham - Deputy Manager - Care Leaver Hub
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager for our Care Leaver Hub in Wokingham. This dynamic role is designed for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people transitioning from care to independent living. As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Hub Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that empower care leavers, helping them to achieve their personal goals and develop essential life skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the management of the Care Leaver Hub, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Supervising and mentoring a team of support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Developing and implementing tailored support plans for care leavers, focusing on their individual needs and aspirations.
- Building strong relationships with external agencies, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance the support network for care leavers.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of services, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A relevant degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Significant experience in social work, particularly with young people and care leavers.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by care leavers and the ability to advocate on their behalf.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with young people.
- Leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to motivate and support a team.
