Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Team Manager to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team at Wigan Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to support the operational management of a busy MASH Team, ensuring effective safeguarding decision-making and high-quality service delivery. You will provide day-to-day support to the Team Manager, oversee screening and threshold decisions, supervise practitioners and promote effective multi-agency working to safeguard children and young people.
You will play a key role in maintaining high practice standards, supporting staff development and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
Key Skills Required:
- Previous experience within MASH, Duty, Assessment or Safeguarding Teams
- Experience supervising or supporting social workers within Children's Services
- Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and threshold decision-making
- Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills
- Experience working within a multi-agency safeguarding environment
- Ability to oversee complex referrals and promote high-quality practice
- Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience within Children's Services
- Experience in a senior practitioner, advanced practitioner or management capacity is desirable
