Pay Rate: Up to £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: WS1 1TP, Walsall
Working Pattern: Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Supervising Social Worker to join the Fostering Team at Walsall Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated fostering service, supporting foster carers to provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children and young people. You will supervise and support foster carers, undertake assessments and reviews, and work closely with partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes for children in care.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of fostering practice, providing professional guidance to carers, and ensuring all statutory requirements are met in line with fostering regulations and children's social care legislation.
Key Skills Required:
- Previous experience within Fostering, Supervising Social Work or Children's Services
- Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding and statutory children's social care
- Experience supervising, supporting and assessing foster carers
- Ability to complete high-quality assessments, reports and foster carer reviews
- Excellent communication and multi-agency partnership working skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, foster carers and professionals
- Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience within Children's Services, ideally within a Fostering Team
- Strong knowledge of fostering legislation, safeguarding and children's social care practice
