Assistant Team Manager - Single point of access Team

Pay Rate: £41.58 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: LL13 8BG, Wrexham

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Team Manager to join the Single point of access Team at Wrexham County Borough Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Children's Services team, where you will support the Team Manager in leading and developing a high-performing service. You will provide supervision, guidance and professional support to social workers, oversee complex cases, and ensure high-quality practice that safeguards children and promotes positive outcomes.

Working closely with children, families and partner agencies, you will play a key role in maintaining effective care planning, supporting statutory interventions, and ensuring the delivery of child-centred services in line with legislation and local procedures.

Key Skills Required:

  • Previous experience within Care & Support, Safeguarding, Child Protection or Children's Services

  • Experience supervising, mentoring and supporting social workers

  • Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice

  • Experience managing complex cases, undertaking assessments and contributing to care planning

  • Excellent leadership, communication, report writing and multi-agency partnership working skills

  • Ability to make informed decisions and promote high standards of practice

  • Social Work England registration (or equivalent professional registration where applicable)

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent

  • Registered with Social Work England (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience within Children's Services, including supervisory or senior practitioner responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, care planning and statutory social work practice
