Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join the Family Support Team (FST) at Wrexham Council.

Pay Rate: £41.58 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: 31 Chester Street, Wrexham, Wrexham Principal Area, LL13 8BG, United Kingdom

As a Team Manager in the Family Support Team, you will lead a dynamic team supporting children and families open to Children's Social Care. You will oversee Care and Support Plans, manage Child Protection Plans and Public Law Outline (PLO) processes, and ensure cases progress effectively to court when required. You will be responsible for driving high-quality practice, supporting staff development, and ensuring children receive the right support at the right time.

Key Skills Required:

Experience managing Family Support/Children's Social Care teams
Strong knowledge of Child Protection, PLO, and court processes
Ability to manage and support a multidisciplinary team including Social Workers and Assistant Team Managers
Experience in overseeing complex casework and ensuring positive outcomes
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to drive service improvement and maintain high standards of safeguarding

Essential Requirements:

Social Work Qualification - Degree, DipSW, or equivalent
Registered with Social Work England
Significant experience within children's services, ideally in a leadership role
5 years reference, gaps in employment history checked, and relevant qualifications as per JDPS
