UASC Social Worker - Redcar £31.74 per hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced UASC Social Worker to join our team in Redcar. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and assistance to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) in the local area.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for UASC in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Providing direct support and advocacy for UASC to ensure their well-being and safety
  • Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services and support for UASC
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other meetings as required
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration
  • Previous experience working with UASC and a strong understanding of their unique needs and challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people from diverse backgrounds
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to UASC and child welfare
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and demanding environment
