Children's SW - Safeguarding Team - Peterborough

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Peterborough. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in challenging circumstances.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations into child protection concerns
  • Developing and implementing care plans to support children at risk
  • Working collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and other professionals
  • Attending case conferences and court hearings as required
  • Providing support and guidance to children and families to promote positive outcomes

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in working within children's services, particularly in safeguarding
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Additional requirements for this role may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
