Children's SW / SP - Duty Team - Staffordshire
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker or Social Worker Practitioner to join our Duty Team in Staffordshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention services to children and families in need.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Responding to safeguarding concerns and conducting assessments to determine the level of support required
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to ensure the best outcomes for children
- Providing crisis intervention and support to families in times of need
- Working within statutory guidelines and policies to uphold the welfare of children
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England
- Proven experience working in a similar role within Children's Services
- Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary
