We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team at City of Wolverhampton Council. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and intervention to children and young people with complex needs, ensuring their safety and well-being are prioritized.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and young people with SEND, developing care plans and interventions
  • Working collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to provide holistic support
  • Advocating for the rights and best interests of children with SEND
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and reviews to ensure coordinated care
  • Keeping accurate records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and young people with SEND in a social work capacity
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with a focus on safeguarding and child protection
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
