Children's SW - Court Team - Shropshire
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Court Team in Shropshire. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families involved in court proceedings.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks faced by children and families
- Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
- Attending court hearings and providing evidence-based reports and recommendations
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for children and families
- Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make informed decisions
The essential qualifications and skills for this role include:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and HCPC registration
- Demonstrated experience in working within a children's social work setting, particularly in court proceedings
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and welfare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds
- Effective time management and organizational skills to manage a complex caseload efficiently
Additional requirements for this role may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the Shropshire area.
